We present a tool that speeds up and simplifies the process of pressing out the wastegate valve sleeve. 

Pressing out the wastegate valve sleeve is one of the most time-consuming steps in the reconditioning of many turbochargers. Traditional methods often require the use of a hydraulic press, custom-made support sleeves, or improvised tools, which increases the risk of damaging the housing and prolongs repair time. - We have developed a kit that allows you to press out the sleeve quickly and safely without using a workshop press.

What is the tensile strength of the drawbar?

The hydraulic pump and cylinder have a load capacity of 20 metric tons. The pins for the puller have a hardness of 45 HRC.

• M8 pins have a load capacity of 12 metric tons
• M10 bolts have a tensile strength of 16 metric tons
• M12 have a tensile strength of 20 metric tons

During our tests, we pulled out sleeves with a maximum load of 20 metric tons. The through-type cylinder operates within a 15-mm range. We recommend that, during the sleeve extraction process, you tap the sleeves with an aluminum mallet before using the puller, then spray them with WD40. We recommend working within a maximum range of 10 mm during the sleeve extraction process; then loosen the valve on the pump, tighten the nut, and repeat the extraction process.

Is there a warranty on the product?

• Yes, the warranty covers:

Leaks from the hydraulic pump, the through-type cylinder, and the valve in the hydraulic pump; however, it does not cover mechanical damage, over-tensioning of pullers, extraction screws, etc.

• During our tests of the device, we extracted approximately 500 sleeves using a force of up to 15 metric tons. The machine operated correctly.
• There is a risk of damaging the device if an inappropriate adapter is used for the sleeve, or if the sleeve is embedded in cast iron to such an extent that excessive force could damage the cylinder.
